Vincenzo Lancia, a visionary engineer and founder of Lancia, dreamed of cars that seamlessly combined luxury, engineering, and elegance. In 1931, he introduced the Lancia Astura, a model that redefined the bar for automotive excellence in the interwar period. The Astura chassis, with its innovative V8 engine and exceptional handling characteristics, quickly became a favorite among Europe's elite.

In 1933, the Astura found its way into the studio of the young, ambitious designer Battista “Pinin” Farina. Pininfarina, who had just established himself as one of the most promising body designers of his time, saw the Astura as an opportunity to showcase his artistic vision of exclusive cars. The result was a body that was not only functional, but also breathtakingly beautiful.

The 1933 Lancia Astura Pininfarina was presented at prestigious salons such as Milan and Paris, where the audience was speechless at the sight of its streamlined lines, Art Deco accents and sophisticated details. The car was equipped with a 2.6-liter V8 engine that offered flexibility and reliability, perfect for the long, elegant rides that the aristocracy dreamed of.
