Alfa Romeo had major triumphs in motorsport in the years before the Second World War, partly thanks to the legendary Enzo Ferrari. The brand survived the war and continued to do what it was good at: building sporty and elegantly lined GTs in small series - often with a personalized body.

The production of the 6C 2500 started in 1939. The type 6C, which stands for the 6 cylinder engine, is among the best-known classic Alfa Romeo's. Various design houses such as Pininfarina and Touring provided the chassis with beautiful bodies. It did not stop the people at Alfa Romeo themselves from providing the 6Cs with a nice exterior from the factory.

Chassis 915.559 was delivered to the first owner Carlo Martelli from Florence in 1947. The car is equipped with a Touring Superleggera body from Milan and was found as a wreck in a garage box in Helmond. This Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport reflects what Italian designers are masters at: coming up with beautiful design details and the art of omission. The watches in this example's dashboard are masterpieces. The restoration of chassis number 915.559 has been carried out at a very high level and is considered to be the absolute top class in the world of vintage cars.
